Shadow came to us quite by chance at the age of 4years and was our introduction to
the Akita breed. No-dog could have been a better ambassador for the breed. Wth his
dignified presence, loyalty, and temperament, we quickly grew to love him. He did
not start his show career until he was 8years old and gained his championship in
just over the year (not bad for an old boy). Sadly, Shadow passed away in May 2008,
1 week off his tenth birthday. We miss him dearly, but hopefully he will shine again
in his offspring.
